Farewell Broome!

Our last Broome sunset at Gantheaume Point

There are so many places across our country I feel I’m not done with yet. I’m sure there will be a second trip or maybe even a third where at least Stephen & I travel this country again. Broome is one of those places – although it is not necessarily the place itself but rather the people that are there.

What shall we miss about Broome? I LOVE the turquoise water of Roebuck Bay. Each trip to town I would go the way that took me past the bay so I could check out the amazing colour and changes in the tides. The massive tides and how it effects so many things is another aspect of Broome that fascinates me. Then of course is the people! As hard as good byes are and my heart is squeezed with emotion our lives are also richer for the experiences. It is with sadness we leave friends mixed with thankfulness for what they have brought to our lives.

Broome was full of “first” experiences for us. The kids going to school being the biggest one, myself working in a “real job” and even Stephen working for wages was something we haven’t done for many many years. He even got a day or two off with pay! Don’t get that when you’re self employed :-).

Although Broome has been a wonderful experience it’s time for us to move on. As the dragon flies appear it symbolizes the end to the wet season and the beginning of the dry.  Dragon flies have been in abundance for a while. In the same way I feel it’s a new season for us. Individually we’ve all grown and changed through our Broome experience, it’s given us what we needed for then and now we move on into a new season, new experiences, new days.

So many fun, precious memories with theses guys. We've laughed, we've cried we miss you all already xoxox
