Returning to the road ….

21 06 2013

On the 6th of June we awoke at 3:30am to get to Sydney airport for a 6am flight back to Exmouth via Perth.  It was wonderful to stay with family, catch up briefly with friends, be bridesmaid for my dearest school friend in Lithgow, meet Rob and Kathreen’s beautiful family and friends at their memorial service and to give Otilija and Orlando another big hug.

It was a whirl wind two weeks – all still a little dream like but each day and event brought elements of healing to our hearts.

At 2pm we arrive in Exmouth.  We head out to Cape Range as we’d previously planned to go from Warroora Station.  Totally exhausted I think we were all in bed by 6pm.  We spent the next 6 days sleeping, reading, snorkeling and trying to regain order in our trailer again.

The beaches are beautiful and the range such a contrast.  The fish amongst the coral are so colourful and we enjoyed a few sunsets.  Our last day it rained but thankfully the morning brought clear skies for pack up and a rainbow over the water.  I felt personally so blessed by the farewell from the sky.  I have a print that I sell called “Promise of Hope” of a rainbow over a property in Barrington Tops.  The photo is about hope and the fact we are not forgotten by God.  This rainbow reminded me of that hope – hope for continued healing of hearts, hope for the future and that we are all not forgotten.

Hi McPherson family – SO good to pick up the threads of your journey again today, with all the usual stunning photos, or course! Altho’ we only saw you briefly, it was great to know you were among your “family” at BBC where you are so loved. Tomorrow & Sunday Iris Cambodia will be with us – a cause dear to your heart I know Chris. We got a good article in the Advocate, thanks to the awesome Judi Cowdery.
My Vanessa is having fantastic results at the German cancer clinic, & I am rejoicing at God’s amazing provision for her recovery. GOD IS SO GOOD!
Love to all
